Hello Lovely Readers,

This year, we had another opportunity to attend the NAMIWalks on May 16 for Mental Health Awareness Month!

Those who join me at this event, THANK YOU! For those reading my blog and following me on social media know how important mental health is to me and the importance of spreading awareness. I enjoyed every minute of it and learned so much from others who attended, the speeches, and the booths at the event. My mother was excited to receive more education about her diagnosis, and a bounce was her receiving a book that teaches children to process emotions. She’s learning about her emotions and learning to express them instead of suppressing them. We had a chance to learn about different organizations, coping methods, and new medications that will help those with mental disorders.

I took the time to make customized shirts for everyone to wear to show my mother she has so much support, the importance of mental health, those diagnosed with a mental disorder, and those who have passed away who dealt with a mental disorder.

We had a chance to meet wonderful people who are just as passionate about mental health. I had the opportunity to sign up to be an advocate for NAMI Glendale! We even had the chance to meet the Olympian Jordan Chiles! She was so sweet and had such encouraging speech.

I first heard about NAMIWalks a few years back, but I finally found the courage to attend last year, in 2025. My mom was the one who actually had all of us go. It was everyone’s first time attending. We knew we had to go back!

I can’t wait to see what next year has to offer! In the meantime, I’ll see where I can support NAMI and the mental health community until then. Maybe I might have a booth at the event next year 😉. We’ll see! I hope to see you there in 2027 and remember, everything’s otay!

*Later that evening, we went to another event, and this person also advocates for mental health. She’s a talented artist, and it’s the one and only Demi Lovato!

This song got me through a tough time in my early 20s. I have a story for that.

You know I cried when she played “Tell Me You Love Me.” My Favorite Person and I had SUCH a fantastic time. She sang every single song I wanted to hear that night. I will say this is in one of my top 5 favorite concerts I’ve been to.
