The topic that started it all! IT’S MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH! I’ve been waiting for this month to come around! Last year I wrote an article discussing “Mental Health Awareness Month: What is Mental Health?” My very first post! I can’t believe it’s been a year! There’s so much to talk about when it comes to mental health. This subject is very important to me. Mental health plays a big part in our day to day life, so we have to do our very best to take care of it. During this pandemic many people have been going through ups and downs and in these days we have to care for our mental health more then ever. Many people today face depression, anxiety, stress, alcohol abuse, drug abuse and more. Some even begin to have suicidal thoughts. We all need human interaction, so make sure you reach out to your loved ones. Hearing from you might be just what they need. We all need to be heard as well, so reach out to a trusted friend or family member when you are feeling down and just vent. We need each other during these tough times. During the month of May, let’s spread love and positivity to one another and if you can, go help someone in need. If you feel like you need to talk to a professional, don’t be afraid to reach out for help. Let’s come together this month to bring awareness and let’s do our best to end the stigma that surrounds mental health. I have so much to share with you all. Let me know how you all are coping during this quarantine ❤️.
