My 28th Year of Living

These last few years have been a challenge for many of us. Many of us worry and stress about financial stability. We worry if we’ll ever get into our dream careers or if we’re even in the right career field. Many of us worry about whether we’ll find the one and marriage. Some are rushing to start a family and buying a house, etc. Many of us in our late 20s may feel like we have pressure from society that our life should be put together (whatever that means) when we hit our 30s. Many of us may carry A LOT of weight on our shoulders as we continue to navigate this thing called life. Well, let me share with you what I’ve learned while growing, healing, and getting advice from the wise.

I’ve learned that life is all about balance. Something I’m still learning to apply in my life. Learning from the wise, we will never have a picture-perfect life, but what we do with our lives and make of ourselves is what brings us true happiness, peace, and joy. We get to choose how we want to live our lives. We get to go at our own pace. There’s no need for us to rush into things. But, what we must do is continue to put in the work for ourselves to get where we want to be. Someone’s circumstances and experiences might be different than yours. But what makes YOUR story unique is YOUR journey. So keep pushing forward and live life for you. Be patient with yourself.

As I turned 28 in December 2023, I promised myself that there would be changes in my life. Big and small. I’ll continue to find a balance in life. I want to enjoy life, continue to work for what I want, and surround myself with people that have genuine hearts, pure intentions, and are reciprocal with the love I give. I’ll continue to improve my mental health, learn to love the body that I am in, practice self-love and self-care, celebrate my big and small accomplishments, achieve my goals, continue to learn new things, nourish friendships I have, create new friendships, continue to heal from all the traumas I’ve been through, continuing to find myself again, continuing to build a stronger, closer, respectful, caring, loving relationship with My Favorite Person ❤️ and most importantly learning to be in my feminine energy and learning to put myself first. And putting myself first will allow me to be there for the people I love and care for the most.

I am confident in myself, my goals, and my aspirations in my 28th year of living. I know it won’t be peaches and cream but I’ll keep pushing forward in life with My Favorite Person ❤️. I also have confidence in him. He also has goals I’ll continue to support. I’ll be by his side while he continues to grow as an individual, in our relationship, and in his career. If he’s reading this, I hope he knows how proud I am of him. I can’t wait to see more of his growth and the many goals he will achieve.

As many of us approach our 30s, we will accomplish many of our goals in our late 20s, we will continue to live life for ourselves, continue to move at our own pace, and live life to the fullest. Don’t stress out. Practice patience. We are all doing good if we continue putting in the effort for ourselves. You got this! Everything will come in due time. And Remember, we will have good and bad days but most importantly remind yourself that everything’s otay! Focus on the present.
